About the Artist...
Christina is a talented Connecticut artist. She combines collage and acrylic to achieve her unique style. Her paintings explode with texture, pattern and color across the canvas telling a story. Most recently Christina's artwork has been featured at the Swan Day Festival. - Michele White
I am 26 years old and have been painting for as long as I can remember. My family is very artistic and crafts seemed to quickly consume my life. I believe that life is like a giant canvas and you have to throw all the paint you can onto it. I tend to take that quite literally, theres never enough paint! Some artists who have inspired me are Picasso, Georgia O'Keefe, Jackson Pollock, Claude Monet, Salvador Dali to mention just a few. I also am quite fond of Paul Simon, Grateful Dead, Cat Stevens, and so many more ...
So a little bit about my art work. I try to recycle as much material as possible.
I was taught at a young age there is always more than one use for things. You just have to look at it from another angle and see the beauty and potential within. I have been known to go for walks along the river and coming home with bags full of treasure. I am positive I can create something out of any random object. Most of the time there is no plan when I sit down. It is what I am feeling at the moment in time, almost as if you are taking a picture of my emotions and capturing it in time. I believe adding as much paint as possible not only applies to art, it is a way to conquer life.
